The Role

We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Fabricatorsto join an established and growing company.

The successful candidates will be versatile, hands-on tradespeoplewith experience across sheet metal fabrication, welding and fitting. The company is looking for individuals who can work independently, have excellent attention to detail and, most importantly, have the ability to find solutions and overcome challenges on the job.

Key Skills & Experience

Candidates should have experience with:

  • Stainless steel sheet metal fabrication

  • Working with stainless steel from 0.9mm – 2mm

  • TIG welding

  • MIG welding

  • Cutting

  • Sheet metal work and fabrication

  • Fitting and assembly

  • Reading and working from measurements/drawings

  • General workshop and fabrication duties

  • Problem-solving and working through challenging fabrication requirements

The ideal candidate will have a flexible skillset and be comfortable taking on different tasks as required.

We're looking for people who don't simply say "that can't be done" we want tradespeople who look at a challenge and figure out how it can be done.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator, Welder or Fitter.

  • Strong TIG and MIG welding ability.

  • Experience working with stainless steel.

  • Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication.

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Very good spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

  • Full driving licence.

  • Willingness to work overtime when required.

  • Flexibility to work Saturdays when necessary.

  • Strong work ethic and reliable attitude.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

There is potential for extensive overtime, depending on workload and business requirements.

Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work Saturdays or additional hours when required.

Pay & Progression

Starting Rate: €18.00 – €20.00 per hour

The company offers the opportunity for pay increases following successful completion of the probationary period, with further increases possible based on continued performance, development and contribution to the business.

The company is committed to developing its workforce and will provide additional training for new employeesto help them develop their skills and become fully competent across the required roles.

Accommodation Provided

For suitable candidates relocating to the area, accommodation is available immediately.

Each candidate will have:

  • A private bedroom

  • Access to shared accommodation facilities

  • Use of a company car for transport to and from work for the first few weeks

The company car arrangement will allow candidates time to settle in and arrange their own transport.

Assessment & Training

The company is ready to begin taking candidates immediately.

Candidates will undergo a practical assessment of their skills from their first day, allowing the company to establish their current abilities and identify areas where additional training may be beneficial.

Further training will be provided by the company as required.

Holiday

Annual leave will be managed at the discretion of the company and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to business requirements.
