ISS Recruitment & HR Services is currently seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Professionals for a range of construction and property-development opportunities across Ireland.
We are interested in speaking with Quantity Surveyors at various stages of their careers, from experienced QS professionals through to highly senior Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and Commercial Directors.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on seniority and the specific position, responsibilities may include:
Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
Preparing cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
Estimating and tender preparation.
Procurement and subcontractor management.
Preparing and analysing tenders and subcontractor packages.
Cost control and commercial reporting.
Valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Cost forecasting and cash-flow management.
Managing variations, claims and contractual matters.
Contract administration and commercial risk management.
Monitoring project expenditure against approved budgets.
Working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants and clients.
Providing commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Managing junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams where appropriate.
Supporting senior management and clients with strategic commercial decisions.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
A relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
5+ years' post-graduate experiencefor standard QS positions.
Strong knowledge of the Irish construction industry.
Experience working within construction, consultancy, development or client-side environments.
Strong commercial and financial awareness.
Excellent knowledge of cost management, procurement and contractual processes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk.
For senior-level opportunities, we are particularly interested in professionals with 15–20+ years' experiencewho have progressed into positions such as:
Senior Quantity Surveyor | Commercial Manager | Commercial Director | Head of Commercial | Senior Commercial Manager
Consultancy & Client-Side Experience
Candidates with strong consultancy or client-side experienceare particularly encouraged to apply.
We are interested in professionals who can demonstrate experience advising clients, managing commercial risk, overseeing project budgets and working across multiple stakeholders throughout the development and construction lifecycle.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for professionals who understand more than simply the numbers.
The strongest candidates will have a genuine understanding of how construction projects are delivered in Ireland, with the commercial, contractual and technical knowledge required to manage projects effectively.

Salary & Package
€50,000 – €150,000+
Salary will depend on experience, seniority, project portfolio and the specific opportunity.
Senior and commercial leadership positions may command salaries at the upper end of this range or above.
Additional benefits and package will vary depending on the employer and position.
