About the Role
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor/Manager, the Quality Team Leader will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the production line. You will ensure that operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee production line operations and manage operator teams to maximise output and maintain quality.
Provide hands-on leadership and motivation to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work culture.
Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
Support training, development, and rotation of operators to maintain a flexible, skilled workforce.
Monitor and maintain traceability, complete record-keeping, and respond to quality issues in real time.
Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality assurance standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the achievement of manufacturing KPIs.
Promote and ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety practices in the production area.
Liaise with Quality, Shift Supervisors, and other key stakeholders to resolve any issues proactively.
Skills / Experience:
2–4 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (ideally in food production).
Qualification in food science or a related discipline
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English).
Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
Commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
