ISS Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified electrician to join a busy production environment, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across manufacturing and processing equipment.
The successful candidate must be fully qualified and available to work a 3-shift cycle, 5 days over 7.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on production and processing equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across machinery, plant and site services.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
Troubleshoot electrical control systems, motors, sensors, drives and associated equipment.
Carry out electrical installations, repairs, upgrades and modifications as required.
Assist with fault finding on automated production equipment and control systems.
Carry out routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
Work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, efficiency and productivity.
Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective or preventative actions.
Ensure maintenance work is accurately recorded and completed in line with site procedures.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant electrical regulations, company procedures and health and safety requirements.
Assist external contractors and engineers when required.
Support commissioning and installation of new machinery and equipment.
Participate in the ongoing improvement of maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.
Requirements
Fully qualified Electrician / Electrical Craft Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification – essential.
Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or similar industrial environment is highly desirable.
Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with industrial machinery and automated production equipment.
Knowledge of motors, drives, control panels, sensors and industrial electrical systems.
PLC fault-finding experience would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of electrical and workplace health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider maintenance and production team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexible approach to working hours.
Must be available to work a 3-shift cycle, 5 days over 7.

€25.00+ per hour, depending on experience
