Engineering Technician - 2 shifts
A well-established food manufacturing company based in Naas, Co. Kildare is currently recruiting an Engineering Technician with a strong electrical background to join its on-site Engineering team.
This is a hands-on maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment, working a structured Monday–Friday shift pattern.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Weekly rotating shifts
6:00am – 2:30pm
2:30pm – 11:00pm
8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repair of plant and equipment
Reactive and planned maintenance across production and site facilities
Installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
PLC fault diagnostics (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
Execution of preventive maintenance programmes
Support utilities including compressed air and refrigeration systems
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards
Liaise with equipment suppliers and oversee contractors
Provide shift support to production as required
Requirements:
Electrical qualification or time-served Electrician
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostics capability
Mechanical experience an advantage
Experience with CMMS, motor control systems, pneumatics and temperature control
PLC experience highly desirable
Flexible, reliable and able to work on own initiative
